Car Insurance Jaguar (Car Insurance). my amp is stuck in protection mode and wont work?

my amp is stuck in protection mode and wont work? OK so just about 2 days ago i was driving in my car with the music blasting and suddenly the base cut out. it was up pretty loud but Ive had it louder then this before, however the song happened to be full of base. I drove for a couple of blocks and pulled over to check my fuse and my amp. The fuse did not break however when i opened my trunk smoke started rolling out and my amp was in protect mode. I have an audiobahn a8002t amp and 2 12" kicker cvr's. I've had my base up louder then this before, and they've been installed in my trunk for about a month and have been working just fine so idk if it would be a short or a wiring problem if they've gone this long without any problems. Any idea's?

you could push on your subs see if they feel crunchy when you push in on them just dont push to hard u dont want to break them if there not broke Amplifier blown! (Smoke is dead giveaway.) Repair or replace as required. It sounds like you blew a speaker, if it is in protect mode it could mean the speaker blew and shorted, try disconnecting the speaker and try hooking up a different speaker to see if it works. The smoke is most likely coming from the sub(s). Take another sub and try it on the amp to see if the amp or sub(s) are bad. Good luck! probably blew either amp or sub this usually happens due to wiring to a too low ohm load on the amp and it burned up something in the system , also your amp may have over heated and burned up and your fuse did not blow because you had a too high amperage one in so it did not get too much load and blow, too much fusing can be as bad as not enough, audiobahn is like hifonics on burning up for no apparent reason they go into protect for an unknown reason usually some fault in amp design wise as with a hifonics amp i had that i took apart after it failed and it had a bad design defect, the main wiring or power input ran too close to the heatsync so when heated it melted wire for power enough to throw protect on have subs checked with a new amp for sound to make sure they're ok if they are replace amp if sounds odd find which one it is and replace

Jaguar . What a bad Easter, Help?

What a bad Easter, Help? Let me explain the title and help me out if you know. So the day before Easter I bought a car. The very next day I was driving to golf at 7 in the morning and got pulled over for no plates. I was told I had 30 days to get plates for my new vehicle, but whatever. That was one ticket. Then I didn't have my insurance card on me so that was another ticket. So, then I got home and went on to state farm to edit my vehicle information. I forgot to add, 6 days prior I told them to take my truck off my insurance cause I sold it. So I went to edit and realized that they thought I meant to cancel the insurance even though I had paid til 5/28. Needless to say I was freaking out. Well I called state farm the next day and got it sorted and they put the car on the insurance, but since they had to reinstate the policy it says I wasn't covered the day I got stopped. So my question is, what can I do to prove I had insurance? Because I guess technically I didn't, but it was the companies fault?? Please help. car insurance.

I'm Not Sure What Happened? I was driving today for around 30 minutes and out of no where my car (on the left side) started sliding and spun completely around. It wasn't raining or anything slippery on the road. Does anyone know what could have went wrong? I have an abusive ex who won't leave me alone so i'm scared he did something to the car because last night I could have swore I heard someone outside walking and my dogs began barking. Maybe i'm just being paranoid? Any car experts out there? car insurance.

Jaguar . How to Clean Sunroof Drain Plugs on a VW

If you are having issues with water inside the cabin of your Volkswagen and have a sunroof, chances are your sunroof drains may be clogged. Keeping these clean will prevent leaks and water damage and ensure rainwater is properly drained from the car. Anyone with a sunroof should be performing this maintenance on a regular basis.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Flexible rod (weed trimmer string is best)
Glass of water

Step by Step :
1
Locate the position of your drains and the nipples. There will be four: two in the front and two in the rear. The drain holes will be in the four corners of the sunroof. The drain nipples will be on the front side of either door jam. The rear ones may vary from car to car but are generally located on either side of the rear bumper.
2
Clear the debris from the nipples. This can be done by massaging them to free up debris and other gunk that may have built up.
3
Test drainage by pouring a small amount of water into the areas where the drain holes are located. Observe the nipples and ensure water is flowing out of each one freely. Do not use too much water, as if they are clogged the water will obviously not pass through.
4
Stop here if water is flowing freely. There is no need to clean the drains. If there is blockage, proceed to the next step.
5
Use a flexible rod (be sure it is not sharp; it could puncture the lines) and gently prod through the holes to attempt to free the clog. Repeat Step 3 and see if there is any improvement. If not, you can attempt to dig further. If at any time you do not feel comfortable attempting to clean it, stop and consult with a registered Volkswagen technician.
Tips & Warnings
The two front drains will empty out at the front part of each door jam. The rear drains typically will drain out on either side of the bumper.

Failing to keep these drains clean could result in interior water damage and a costly repair bill.

Jaguar . How to Remove the Rear Door Panels in a Ford Ranger

Door panels in any car, including the Ford Ranger often get scratched, damaged or break. That means they need to be replaced. They are made of a hard plastic, and attached to the door frame with clips. There's no real way to "see" how they are attached which makes removing them a mystery.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Crow bar
Screwdriver
Gloves

Step by Step :
1
Remove the cap over the screw on the window lever. Then remove the lever by unscrewing it. Insert a crowbar under the lever latch and gently pry it off the connection.
2
Remove the door handle castings or moldings. Unscrew the screws and gently pry off the molding cap by working from the corners first and then towards the center. This will prevent them from breaking.
3
Remove the panel itself. Insert the crow bar between the door frame and panel material. Just slide it in along one of the bottom or top edges. Then begin to pry the panel off.
4
Continue to work around the door panel carefully working to pry out the clips that hold the panel to the frame. This requires inserting the bar up into the frame and prying right next to the clips themselves. Otherwise they will break. Continue working at this until you can remove the panel.

To determine what's causing problems with your tires, try the following: Look for things embedded in each tire. Do you see nails, stones, or other debris embedded in the treads? Remove them. But if you're going to remove a nail, first make sure that your spare tire is inflated and in usable shape. If you hear a hissing sound when you pull a nail, push the nail back in quickly and take the tire to be fixed. If you aren't sure whether air is escaping, put some soapy water on the hole and look for the bubbles made by escaping air. If you're still not sure whether the nail may have caused a leak, check your air pressure and then check it again the next day to see whether it's lower (for help, see "Checking your air pressure," earlier in this chapter). Tires with leaks should be patched by a professional. If the leak persists, get a new tire. Figure 19-9: It's time for new tires when tread-wear indicators appear. .Chapter 19: Checking Your Tires, Alignment, and Steering A / 7 Look at the sidewalls. Check for deeply scuffed or worn areas, bulges or bubbles, small slits, or holes. Do the tires fit evenly and snugly around the wheel rims? Look at the treads. Most tires have tread-wear indicators built into them (see Figure 19-9). These bars of hard rubber are normally invisible but appear across treads that have been worn down to Xe of an inch of the surface of the tire (the legal limit in most states). If these indicators appear in two or three different places, less than 120 degrees apart on the circumference of the tire, replace the tire. If your tires don't show these indicators and you think that they may be worn below legal tolerances, place a Lincoln penny head-down in the groove between the treads. If you can see the top of Lincoln's head, your tire probably heeds to be replaced. To measure tread wear more exactly, place a thin ruler into the tread and measure the distance from the base of the tread to the surface. It should be more than Yw inch deep. (Note: If your front tires are more worn than your rear ones and show abnormal wear patterns, you probably need to have your wheels aligned.)

Pay attention to leaks. If you keep losing air in your tires, have your local service station check them for leaks. Sometimes an ill-fitting rim causes a leak. The garage has a machine that can fix this problem easily. If the garage can't find a leak, your rims fit properly, and you're still losing air, you probably have a faulty tire valve that's allowing air to escape. You can buy tire valves to replace the ones on your car. Look for the number molded into the base of the tire valves; then buy new ones that match it.
